Just a guess, but since you mentioned Lowes and Home Depot, I'd say you are stateside.
Pretty easy actually, Ace Hardware, K-mart, Wal-mart, etc has them, loose or in blister packs.
If you want the good stuff, like polished stainless steel or titanium, even anodized aluminum or magnesium, there is always Gardener Wescott. Look them up in any street rod or Harley trade publication. If you can afford, go with titanium, lighter/stronger/more corrosion resistant than even stainless steel (which isn't, get some blood or acid on it and it will in fact rust right on up).
